Basic cooking skills▲1: Easy to peel perfect hard boiled eggs(Eng S) බිත්තර කටුව ලේසියෙන් ඉවත් කිරීම
Welcome to "Ape Amma" youtube channel
Today let's see how to peel the egg shell of a hard boiled egg very easily.
I'm adding water to cover the eggs.
You have to take a cooking vessel that matches the number of eggs you use.
Just stir the eggs like this before adding the salt so the egg white will come to one place.
Then let the water get heated up for about 5 mins
After 5 mins add 1 tsp of sea salt.
When salt is added the egg white will start to get harden.
once the salt is dissolved, reduce the flame to medium
and close the lid and let it boil for about 10 mins.
Once the water is boiling for about 3 mins.
switch off the flame.
Then just leave it like that for another 15 mins.
After 15 mins we add it to cold water.
If you just keep the egg in a bowl the egg will continue to cook and
the egg white will become rubbery, and the york will turn black around the edges.
Now you have to keep the egg submerged in the water while you peel it.
else you can hold the egg to a running water in the tap.
When you peel it, you'll find a membrane like this.
if you can remove this, then the peeling becomes really easy.
You can also add some vinegar while the eggs were boiling.
that will make the peeling of the egg even easier.
but I didn't do it here.
some people add the eggs to hot water when they make hard boiled eggs.
For this I used just regular water.
This way the egg will cook slowly.
the egg white is made up of 10% protein and 90% water.
The egg white hardens in hot water because of the act of this protein.
when the egg is boiled slowly in water the egg white doesn't become rubbery.
when you start adding the egg to hot water, the protein in the egg white will form stronger bonds much faster and
make the egg white very rubbery.
You can use both these methods, considering how you like your egg to be.
The time of boiling the egg may vary according to the time it takes for the water to boil, and
the size of your cooking vessel.
So you have to choose a cooking vessel to match the size of eggs.
And the really fresh eggs are a little harder to peel.
And if you are using a when thin bottom pan then keep the flame on low while boiling eggs.
If you have a high flame on a pan like that, then
the egg will jump up and down due to the hot water and crack and leak out.
After it's peeled you have to wash the eggs with clean water.
I hope this will be important to kids doing home science in schools.
There will be many people using this method, else you can try this method too.
Thank you so much!
